As Mark Collie says in his song ‘In Time’ «… You can outrun the devil if you try, but you will never outrun the hands of time…». For ex-115-pound champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk this is not the case. Just 5 months after her first professional loss to the now champion Rose Namajunas, Joanna seeks revenge and the right to say what she’s successfully proved 6 times already «nobody will take the title from my hands», Namajunas will now defend her scepter, as we can’t take away this opportunity to challenge her from Joanna, not after being called the successor of Ronda Rousey by many (some big shoes to fill), not after almost three years in with the belt and being just one victory away from equaling the record of «Rowdy» Rousey, making an overwhelming career in the strawweight division.
Jedrzejczyk who was defeated by «Thug» Rose last November at UFC 217, has the opportunity to ratify the nickname of «Joanna Champion».
The ex-champion thinks Rose was lucky, Namajunas believes story will repeat itself, both are in disagreement. The result? We’ll see on April 7 at UFC 223.
